The Shark system in combination with the MultiRack vehicle anchoring frame

The award winning Shark system is based around a sturdy lightweight beam, which carries an battery of sensors collecting information from up to 12 probes that emit ultrasonic signals every three seconds. These probes are quickly attached by magnetic coupling to the part or parts of the vehicle to be measured.

Setting Up Is Fast And Easy

The exact position of the beam is not important; the angle of the machined probes is not critical either and has no adverse effect on the accuracy of Shark. The system will continue to measure to the millimetre, in all three dimnensions, by triangulation.
The measuring beam contains solid state electronics, has no moving parts and collects information from the probes in millionths of a second. This information is then processed and displayed by the Shark computer, providing the operator with continuous measurements, throughout the repair process.
The location of the probes and accessories required is also displayed on screen and those areas can be enlarged using the zoom facility to further speed setting up.

 User Friendly On-Screen Guidance

Shark's computer compares the dimensions it has recorded with the manufacturer's specifications, which have been pre-loaded into the Shark computer memory. It then creates a drawing of the vehicle on screen containing arrows showing the direction and degree of straightening work to be performed.
During straightening, the arrows gradually become smaller and the dimensions change on screen. When the arrows disappear, the job is complete. All operations are controlled via the membrane keypad which is dirt and grease resistant, comprehensive guidance is provided on screen.
Shark is multilingual too, the operator can specify the language he or she wishes to work in and the screen will guide the operator, step-by-step.

 Updates On Disk

Full specifications including dimensions and fixings for every popular car are contained within the computer memory and updates are provided regularly on disk. In the case of more unuasual vehicles, where measurements may not be on the Shark computer memory, it is a simple matter to enter the manufacturers dimensions, prior to measuring. Symmetry checks can be made with no data at all.

A Comprehensive Range Of Accessories

The tools and accessories are contained within sturdy drawers within the computer console. Every Shark accessory is precision machined for ease of fitting and requires no adjustment, thus eliminating the likelihood of error. Shark also features a McPherson strut probe assembly, which, through its simple design enables repairers to check parameters at those high points on the body with speed and precision.

Printed Reports

Shark's printer also delivers a comprehensive report showing the initial condition of the vehicle , in plan and profile, as well as in its repaired state. The report also includes a comparison with the manufacturer's dimensions. In addition to the vehicle information, Shark also collates the customer details including the name, address, telephone number and any other relevant information, dated and ready to be included with the customer paperwork and the invoice.
